| Setting up business in Australia | |
There are a number of options available if you are contemplating setting up business in Australia.
In March 2003 significant changes occurred to the laws governing business visas.
Essentially the first step in gaining permanent entry to Australia involves the business migrant being issued with a four-year provisional visa.
Once the holder of this visa has demonstrated the required level of business (or maintained necessary level of investment), they are entitled to move to apply for permanent residency.
Australian Immigration Advisors is an important division of the law firm, Hall Payne Lawyers, a practice with offices throughout Queensland, including Brisbane city, South Brisbane, Spring Hill, Loganholme (inc. Gold Coast) and Rockhampton (the most significant economic hub of Central Queensland). Visited offices are also available to clients wishing to make appointments at Caloundra (inc. Sunshine Coast), Cairns, Townsville and Gladstone.
Our presence in the more significant areas of commerce in Queensland means that we are able to provide you with a complete assessment of your options in applying for a visa under the business stream.
Many of the options involve consideration of issues that are specific to particular regions within the State of Queensland.
We have staff who hold degrees in both law and commerce from the University of Queensland, Queensland's premier university.

All visa subclasses require the applicant and their family members to meet what is known as basic requirements.
These usually relate to age, health, character and English language ability.
If you do not satisfy the basic requirements that relate to the subclass of visa you are applying for then you have no prospects of securing a visa to permit you to enter Australia.
Your previous immigration history is taken into account when deciding to approve or deny an application. So when entering and remaining in Australia you must ensure that you abide by the conditions and guidelines that relate to your current visa or you put at risk any future prospects you may have to migrate.

If you have been considering migration to Australia, then you will no doubt have already spent a significant amount of time reviewing the multitude of companies that offer their services as "experts" in the area.
You will have also noted that most (if not all) of them offer free on-line assessments of your prospects of successfully applying for various subclasses of visa.
At Australian Immigration Advisors we do not offer such a "service".
Free online assessments are, to put it bluntly, unsafe.
If you are serious about migration to Australia, then you need to know what the best business options are for you given your personal circumstances.
It is important that you speak to a qualified migration advisor who will take the time to properly consider your individual circumstances together with your personal migration goals. Australian Immigration Advisors will provide you with that service – that is what we do.
Honest, straightforward and carefully considered advice as to your realistic prospects of becoming a permanent resident of this country is what we can offer you.
